Getting started
This guide will help you quickly set up and get started with Sentinel. You'll learn how to install the app, create a new user, and log in to the dashboard. While Sentinel doesn't require any setup, we recommend a few optional customizations, such as adding a welcome channel, to enhance your server experience.
- Invite Sentinel to your server using this link .
- Grant Sentinel all necessary permissions for full functionality. Ensure that Sentinel's role is placed at the top of the role list to avoid potential issues.
- Create a welcome channel: Create a channel in your Discord server with the word "welcome" in the name. Sentinel will automatically send welcome messages to new members in this channel.
- Create a suggestions channel: Want to collect suggestions from your community? Create a channel with the word "suggestions" in the name. Members can then use the command
/suggest to submit their ideas. - Create an invite channel: Interested in rewarding users for their invites? Set up an "invites" channel to enable the invite tracking system.
