Customization
Sentinel's dashboard allows you to fully customize your server's experience. You can tailor the bot's behavior, messages, permissions, and more to fit your community's needs. Below is an overview of what you can customize:
- Commands: Enable or disable specific bot commands for your server. All commands are enabled by default, but you can turn off any you don't want your members to use.
- Automations: Toggle various automations such as auto-moderation, welcome routines, and more. Automations are enabled by default and can be individually turned off.
- Channels: Select which channels are used for welcome messages, leave messages, invite tracking, suggestions, transcripts, and more.
- Messages: Customize the content of welcome, leave, and invite tracker messages. You can use placeholders in your messages to dynamically insert information:
{user}
: Mentions the user (with ping). {username}
: Shows the user's name (no ping). {inviter}
: Shows who invited the user. {server}
: The server's name. {membercount}
: The current number of members. {count}
: The inviter's total invites.
Example: Welcome {user} to {server}!
- Roles: Set roles to be automatically assigned on join, or required for admin commands. You can also configure roles to be added or removed after verification.
- Logging: Enable logging and choose which channel receives log messages. You can select the type of logging (e.g., Discord).
- Verification: Set up verification for new members, choose the verification channel and type, customize the verification message, and manage roles assigned or removed upon successful verification.
- Identity: Change the bot's nickname for your server.
All these settings can be managed from the dashboard's settings tabs. Changes are applied instantly, giving you full control over Sentinel's behavior in your server.
